Motorcycle accidents can happen to anyone, ranging from Kimberly Stuart crashing on the red carpet at a Maxim Party or George Clooney and girlfriend joy riding in New Jersey.

These accidents happen all over the county, including Pennsylvania. John Gardner, a well renowned American poet and novelist had a fatal motorcycle crash in the proximity of Susquehanna, PA in September of 1982.

Prevent Motorcycle Accidents

It is important to realize that motorcyclists are often the most defenseless ones on the road. Learn the steps you can take to protect yourself and to prevent having an accident. Some of these steps include:

Wearing protective gear

Always use your signals when changing lanes. It is also helpful to know hand signals in case a signal light burns out

Never Drink and Drive

Do not weave in and out of lanes while stuck in traffic or share a lane with a car

Leave plenty of space in front of you in case of cars stopping short

Do not speed or do tricks such as wheelies

Be aware of your skill level, even the most season bikers have had accidents
